I love to see the painting in the morning..It adds colors to all my day.
Hope you also cherish the Painting and the Idea behind.

La Vie en Rose...
Hi Friends,
I am back with one more addition to my Painting gallery.
They say that Rose is the flower of love. This week, I tried recreating the magic of Roses.
It happened when I was listening to the Legendary track of Edith Piaf - ' La Vie en Rose'. Edit Piaf was one of the France's Legendary singing Diva. She has some of the most beautiful french songs associated with her name. I still tune to her songs very often.
- Tune to her song La vie en Rose : Edit Piaf- La Vie en Rose
I was inspired to convert the song into a painting. I did this on 20 X 16" canvas with acrylic paint.
This one is for those who find their life in roses...

"THE GANPATI"
I started this painting on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi on 17-Sep-15 and completed it today on the day of Ganesh Visarjan. For those who are not aware, Ganesh is the most lovable and cutest among all the Indian Gods. It is believed that he was born on the fourth day (chaturthi) of the Hindu lunar month Magh. Thus, in India ,the festival is widely celebrated as "Ganesh Chaturthi".
On the day of Ganesh Chaturthi, the Ganesh clay idols are brought home and worshipped for 10 days. After 10 days, the idols are immersed in sea/rivers in full festive spirit.

"SPRING VALLEY"
Dimension : 17 X 12"
Painting By : Akansha Srivastava
I completed this painting last week and thought to share with you all. I started with an imagination of flower garden at my family home back in my childhood. It took me a month to complete the painting.
Initially, I tried adding red and green to make the painting look natural. But, gradually I shifted to using more fluorescent colors to make it look a vibrant spring season flower garden.
I hope you all like it. Comments are most welcome.

Art Feast at National Modern Art Gallery(Delhi)
Art Galleries are the temples for art makers as well as art lovers.Visiting art galleries help in understanding the thoughts of great and influential artists. You can choose which painters you relate to and paintings of what era influences you most.
Last week, I took a visit of National gallery of Modern Art situated at the heart of Delhi near India Gate Hexagon. Collection of around 14000 paintings under one roof.I had an Art Feast visiting the gallery and so,I thought of sharing the same with you all.
At the entrance, stands a giant stainless steel sculpture by Subodh Gupta called "Ray". As soon as, we entered into the hall, We were fascinated by the dimly lit peaceful and serene ambiance of the Gallery hall.
The Galley Basement hall holds the famous Oil paintings of Amrita Sher-gil - "Young Girls", "Three Sisters" and "Bride's Toilet" transform the visitors into ancient India and makes them feel the plight of women.
The Ground floor hall showcases the British artists' paintings of the times when India was ruled by East India Company. British artists painted various forts and regions which were later used by Englishmen for administrative management. Thomas Daniell's "Fort Mirani"and "Manikarnika Ghat-Banaras" stand as giant ancient India's sights in the gallery. Marshal Claxton's Calcutta is also a must watch painting.
Another floor up, lands the visitors into Rabindranath Tagore's Head Study drawings.
Top of the gallery holds some of the most influential artworks of some of the most well known painters.
M F Hussain's "Horse" and "Cyclonic Silence" had a mesmerising impact on us. Cyclonic Silence depicts the mourning and stillness during natural disasters.
I personally fell in love with F N Souza's "La Ramblas, Barcelona" and Jaya Appaswami's Water Enclosed.
The gallery refilled me with ample of new ideas.I am motivated to do some meaningful artwork representing a purpose. DO VISIT..
